From a very early age, Prince Láuder's work began to develop through his great love of the arts. At the age of 15, and in a very self-taught way, Prince began to experiment with different techniques such as painting, photography, and collage, always searching for the relationship between them. With studies in philosophy and aesthetics from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), he managed to establish a dialogue between beauty and art, exploring the portrait as the ultimate expression of beauty. After numerous series of collages and portraits inspired by fashion, music, and film, he has positioned his work in different countries, with his highly distinctive style. The figurative, form, and color have been a constant in his work, leading him to explore the accumulative concept of collage and turn it into an ordered image.
His inspiration comes from everyday
and natural resources, which he in turn
reinterprets in order to give them a new language and form a new relationship between them. The ability to unite and combine is essential to his practice, as it invites the viewer not to contemplate a finished work, but rather isolated elements and possible combinations, from which new readings of his work are constantly created.
He is currently considered one of the 100 best collage artists in the world, published in the book ‘Making a splash’ in Hong Kong.
