Manuel Miguel
Manuel Miguel was born on December 20, 1985, in the municipality of Teococuilco de Marcos Pérez, Ixtlán, Oaxaca.
He has taken part in a wide variety of solo exhibitions in renowned venues such as the Senate of the Republic, where he has presented twice with the exhibitions "Circuitos Internos" and "Almas Gemelas" ; the National Lottery building with "Seducciones Lineales"; as well as at the opening of various galleries in different parts of the country.
As part of group shows, he has presented his work in nearly 50 exhibitions across the country and abroad, sharing the stage with major artists of national and international stature, notably: "Fórmula Arts", as part of Formula 1, in Mexico City; "Mujeres: inmanencias y trascendencias", at the Museo del Palacio de Gobierno, Oaxaca, Oax; "Esencias" (El color de la vida), at the H. Congreso del Estado de Oaxaca; "Grandes maestros oaxaqueños", in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León; "Junio en el Corazón de San Ángel"; at the Centro Cultural San Ángel, in Mexico City; "Sueña Oaxaca", at the Palacio Legislativo de San Lázaro; an exhibition as part of the "Christmas Cocktail of the British-Mexican Friendship Foundation" (patron His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales), in the Winter Garden of the HSBC Tower, Mexico City; the art auction "El cambio comienza por mí", an exhibition to benefit the association Espiritualidad para Niños, in Mexico City, among others.
He has also coordinated the staging of various group exhibitions, bringing together national and foreign artists with the aim of taking art to different corners of the country, notably: "Máxima Expresión del Arte", a group exhibition with the participation of more than 85 visual artists; and "Ausencia viva", a group exhibition in honor of the master Alejandro Santiago.
He has also participated in artistic projects such as "El rostro de la noticia", a pictorial intervention for the newspaper "La Jornada" on the occasion of its 32nd anniversary.
Throughout his career he has collaborated with artists of extensive experience such as Alejandro Santiago, Rosendo Pinacho, Claudio López, Víctor Chaca, Amador Montes, Maximino Javier, among others.
He is currently preparing various painting and sculpture projects both on his own and in collaboration with other renowned artists.
