Lydia Hierro

Lydia Hierro was born on January 22, 1960, in Mexico City. From a young age, Lydia Hierro faced an exposed world in which she had to resolve  her own obstacles, since her parents prepared her so that she and her sisters would learn to get ahead in life.
 
From a very young age she chose  art-related businesses as her occupation, and there she began to be in contact with forms, colors and the aesthetic vision.
 
Thanks to her commercial activity she had the opportunity to travel the world, immersing herself in diverse cultures. Learning from diversity and observing cultural nuances. The result: open to experiences .
 
Her work could be nothing other than the result of the above, together with the cosmopolitan world of twenty-first-century Mexico City. As a result, her work highlights the influence of diverse cultures and philosophies, as well as a love of color and a great sensibility for the aesthetic, with a command of different techniques such as watercolor, oil, encaustic and acrylic, moving from figurative art to abstract art.
 
She has a complex, free vision and a simplistic fusion of everything she has lived. For more than two decades she has built her career as an artist and has taken part in several exhibitions.
