Luis Sn Carlos was born in 1970 in southern Mexico, Tabasco.
His broad color palette is used to create atmospheres and ontological states, complemented by rhythmic brushstrokes, at times subtly diluted and at others laden with dense pigment in order to strip the compositional elements of pictorial two-dimensionality.
Sn Carlos puts forward a visual-literary approach, playfully wielding verbal language in his titles, and it is frequently from that language that he decodes the essence of his works, aimed at resonating within the history of Mexican Art.
His extensive body of work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and acquired by various collectors.
