Karla Reyes
Karla Reyes was born in Mexico City. Her work focuses on the visual arts, photography and ceramics.
She studied at the Academia Moderna de Coyoacán. Some time later she entered the INBA to take a complementary ceramics workshop, where she found one of her great passions.
This is how she began to get involved in the art world, enrolling in various courses: "Ceramics and Modeling" at the Museo Universitario del Chopo, "Drawing" at the Centro Cultural Nahui Olie, "Visual Arts and Sensitivity" at the Museo Universitario del Chopo, "Utilitarian Ceramics Workshop" at Los Talleres with Gabriela Gallardo, "Photography" with maestro Arturo Betancourt, "Digital Photography" at the Escuela Activa de Fotografía,"Curatorship" at the Claustro de Sor Juana, "Contemporary Drawing" in the permanent contemporary art workshop.
She has carried out various projects for the Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico related to the design, planning, and operation of
workshops for the educational services department. She has also been in charge of designing workshops for the CDMX cultural summer program “El rehilete” of the ministry of culture. Art for children with autism. Coordination of art workshops for non-violence at the Teatro y plástica school. Some tourism photographs for the newspaper El Universal, and she volunteers in various hospitals carrying out the clown philosophy - Laughter therapy.
