Emmanuel Serrano

Emmanuel Serrano was born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, in 1987, and is a multidisciplinary artist. He currently lives in the State of Mexico, has devoted his life to painting, and his work is based on the environment that surrounds him, seeking a form of self-recognition. He works with a surrealist technique called "fumage", which is developed using resinous materials such as ocote, whose soot, when the material is lit, leaves an imprint with which he creates shapes and textures. His work is currently held in various private collections and at the MAD gallery.
