Emmanuel Meneses

Mexican visual artist, born in Mexico City in 1975, who from an early age showed an interest in the visual arts; his favorite toy was a soldering iron with which he modified every toy that came his way.

Enrolled in a military academy in Virginia, USA in 1992, he learned carpentry as a complementary activity, which he has practiced as a pastime ever since for various particular purposes.

He began a degree in Architecture but switched to Business Administration in order to follow the path of the family business, where he worked until becoming independent in 2004. For 13 years he ran “Mudanzas Meneses”; he later founded “MéNE Tires” and “3SOM” (Triathlon Solutions Mexico).
Finally, he worked as Equipment Control Manager for “MYM” for 2.5 years until, in 2016, he decided to turn his life around 360 degrees.

Upon turning 40, he decided to devote himself 100% to seeking transcendence by creating something with his own hands, and to venture into the world of art and decoration by creating EXCÉNTRICO.

The trial-and-error process took him 6 months and more than 500 kg of wasted resin, but his goal was clear: to raise the name of Mexico high with an innovative, cutting-edge, and modern product. Once he managed to finish his first tabletop, he decided it was time to exhibit it at furniture and decoration fairs, where he caught the market's attention with his creativity, innovative approach, and the great quality of his work.

To this day he has earned international recognition for his high-end works, with a constant presence at the most important furniture and decoration expos in Mexico and the USA. For his part, Emmanuel Meneses's career as a multidisciplinary visual artist began alongside the creation of EXCÉNTRICO. With a fresh and innovative approach, he has continued to experiment with new elements and techniques in search of setting his work apart in the world of painting and sculpture.

In a short time his works have already been shown in galleries and art fairs in places such as Brussels, Madrid, and Las Vegas, as well as gaining a growing presence in Mexican galleries. Emmanuel Meneses's story can be summed up as that of the mover who decided to leave his comfort zone in search of transcendence by pursuing what he is passionate about: art.
