Carlos Eduardo Thomas

Carlos Eduardo Thomas de la Cerda (1985) is a Mexican visual artist whose work explores the boundaries between the body, the void and the invisible structures that sustain human experience. Through sculpture, mixed media and experimental processes, he investigates the relationship between matter, memory and perception.
His practice stands out for the development of a language of his own in which human, animal and plant figures emerge from industrial materials —particularly aluminum mesh— transformed into organic, symbolic and sensitive surfaces, where the fragile and the structural coexist.
