Carhum

Carhum was born on March 25, 1955, in Zacatecas, Zacatecas.  He discovered his vocation when he was just a child, since he enjoyed writing poetry; he would write, for example: "Last night I dreamed I was a poet and a musician, and because I dreamed of myself that way I placed my notes upon the wind and, in infinite space, my feelings and my deep Love for you". To accompany his poems he would add a few vignettes. Later he began to create superhero comics, and that is how he decided he had to study to become a painter.

He entered the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas, where he completed his degree and his master's. For some time he devoted himself to political cartooning and then did illustration; he created the cover of Chava Flores's album and posters for films such as La Cándida Eréndira.

He has exhibited both in and outside Mexico , in both  group and solo shows. He worked teaching street children for 10 years.
